Nowadays there are so many hostels and hotels to choose from when going to a new location. Finding & booking a place to stay is extremely simple. However, as a traveler, I would prefer to support hotels and hostels that are trying to make a positive impact on the planet by choosing sustainability. There is no doubt we need to shift toward a more sustainable future & the fastest way to make that change is by supporting companies that care. 
Wherever you go, be mindful about where you stay. There is nothing wrong with staying at the party hostel, but it is also important to support the places that are trying to make a difference. I have compiled some of my favorite eco-friendly places in different regions. Some I have actually stayed at so I can personally recommend them. While others are places I plan to make my way over to one of these days.
